
WHO IS HAYME ANA?
Hayme Ana, the grandmother of Osman Bev, the founder of the Ottoman Empire, the mother of Ertuğrul Gazi and the wife of Gündüz Alp (Süleyman Sah), is a Turkmen girl belonging to the Kay Clan of the Oguz. The Karakeçili Tribe, which was the core of the Ottoman Empire and to which Ertuärul Gazi belonged, left the city of Mahami in Khorasan at the beginning of the 13th century and settled in the Erzincan - Ahlat and Van regions (1224). Meanwhile, Ertugrul Gazi's father, Gündüz Alp (Süleyman Shah), is at the head of the tribe. The tribe, disturbed by the Mongol attacks, moved south from here and reached the present-day Syria-Hale lands. While Asiret was crossing the Euphrates River, Gündüz Alp fell into the river after his horse stumbled and drowned. Two of Gündüz Alp's sons, Sungur Tekin and Gündogdu, return back, considering this event a great omen. Among the other sons, Ertugrul is only 12 years old, and Dündar is younger. The elders of the tribe comply with the customs and appoint Hayme Ana as the head of the tribe. Hayme Ana has vast knowledge and experience as she manages the tribe together with her husband. He moves to Anatolia with his tribe of 400 tents. They settled on the outskirts of Karacadad around Ankara, which was given as an iqta by the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat. Hayme Ana and the tribe stay here for a long time. The region was later given its own name (today's HAYMANA district). He raises and raises his son Ertugrul. He transfers the tribal chiefdom to him. Young tribal chief Ertugrul participates in wars on the side of the Seljuks and shows great heroism. Upon these successes, Ertugrul is given the title of Bey and is sent to the west as Uch Bey. The Kay Tribe, led by Ertugrul Bey, begins to use Sögüt as a winter residence and Domanic Plateau as a summer residence. Mother Hayme is now trying to raise her grandchildren. In particular, she cradles Osman in the windows of the valley and sings him lullabies; As if he knew his destiny, he explained that he would become a lord and establish a state; They are ready for the future. Mother Hame passed away in Carsamba Village, after returning from a plateau. Ertugrul Gazi; He buried his mother, known as 'Mother State', in the area where she set up tents every year. The mosque, known locally as Besik Pine (Mizik Mosque in Domur Village), lies lifeless on the ground today, as if it has joined its fate with the Ottoman Empire. Sultan II.
